I embrace the Naturalistic planting ethos while remaining mindful of Formal Garden structure and Herbaceous Border seasonal shifts. Regardless of available light levels in your space, texture, movement, color, sound and scent can all be components in the resulting design.

If the site has natural materials, I use those to integrate subtle, sculptural habitat for birds and insect activity. This results in the space benefiting from these residents, both in pest management and by adding a sense of “aliveness” to your space. The integrity of the design and your personal style can be maintained as these structures blend into the plantscape.
